Blue Dream Shrimp | Blue Neocaridina Type

Blue Dream Shrimp also known as Fantasy Blue Dream Shrimp are a great beginner aquarium shrimp and they have amazing coloration. They are one of the hardiest shrimp we keep in our shrimp room. 

Despite the beautiful appearance of fantasy blues, the genetics behind the color can be pretty confusing. Blue Dream is the name most hobbyists use for all shrimp with a deep blue coloration. While most blue dream pet shrimp look similar, they come from a number of different genetic lines and backgrounds. Our blue dreams are a fantastic blue color and their line comes from Chocolate Shrimp which breed fairly true. They are almost solid blue and black in coloration while some can show the rili pattern.

Whether you buy imported or USA-bred blues, they both have amazing coloration. Our imported fantasy blues are usually larger. Our USA Bred fantasy blue shrimp average in size around half of an inch or smaller.
