This specific Milwaukee 1/2" Hammer Drill Driver has been the best performing drill for the AWAH drill powered pulleys. It's brushless so it won't build up heat as quickly since you continuously use the drill at a high torque while ascending with the drill powered pulleys. Pro tip: Do NOT use hammer mode for the drill powered pulleys.
Batteries are hard to source and hard to ship for us. For the drill powered pulleys, the 6.0Ah batteries at Amazon for ~$85 will get the job done (get a spare!) but the 8Ah "Forged" batteries at Amazon for ~$140 are the best. 12Ah is too much money for not enough value above the 8Ah from our performance tests.
This is NOT the drill you need to drill holes in rocks to install climbing bolts. That's a rotary hammer drill and we don't stock those.... yet.
